Proposed new Park Royal Hotel

A planning application for redevelopment of the former Magnat Pub, Hanger Green to provide a 171 bedroom hotel, with ancillary bar and restaurant and basement parking following demolition of and extensions to the locally listed building, including construction of an additional storey to the main frontage, part 3 and 4-storey extension to the west side and part 3,4,5 and 6-storey extension to the rear may be viewed at Ealing Council's website at the link below.

The application received approval at a planning committee in December 2012. Minor changes to the scheme were made in 2014. The consent was not progressed until the site was acquired by Atlas Hotels in 2016. Work on the new hotel started in September 2016 but stopped shortly afterwards and has remained stalled. We understand that the site changed hands in July 2017 and is now owned by Starboard Hotels who intend to restart work in February 2018 with a view to completing construction of the new hotel (which is expected to be a Hampton by Hilton brand) by around middle 2019.
